Breathing exercises and calm resets

The 2-4 Breathing Reset


A simple grounding technique to settle your nervous system:

  1. Sit or lie down comfortably.
  2. Breathe in slowly through your nose for 2 seconds
  3. Exhale gently through your mouth for 4 seconds
  4. Repeat for 8 rounds
  5. After the final breath, take a moment to notice how your body feels.


 Why it works:

Lengthening your exhale signals to your body that you’re safe. It moves you out of “fight or flight” and into “rest and digest.”
